Things to note BEFORE you commission me...

  • Be sure to read my terms of service!
  • I currently offer my services locally (within Malaysia).
  • I am NOT a fast or pro crocheter (even small ami projects can take me upwards of 6 hours) and my hands need a break so I don’t crochet on a daily basis–PLEASE be patient!
  • I have 2 commission slots (for now) up on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis. I will NOT take rushed projects.
  • I allow up to 2 amis per client commission, though depending on the difficulty of both amis, this may count as 2 commission slots instead of 1.
  • Expect a response time of up to 3 business days (this is a hobby & I have a life).
  • Clients are to check my Trello board first before personally contacting me for updates.
  • I reserve the right to stream my work process should I desire (unless requested otherwise).
  • I reserve the right to post images of my commissions in my online portfolio, SocMed pages, etc. (unless requested otherwise).
  • I reserve the right to refuse any commission requests.

What I will NOT DO

  • Any ami without a clear pattern provided.
  • Amis with more than 1 removable/detachable clothing item.
  • Amis with complicated hair or exceedingly tiny parts/embroidery.

Your Commission(S)

  • A pattern MUST be supplied for me to follow. Kindly let me know if you would like help searching for a pattern together.
  • Please note, if the chosen pattern is not free and requires me to purchase it, this cost will then be added to the finalized ami price.
  • Deviations from pattern MUST be discussed prior to determine if they are possible or will require more effort/additional materials (e.g. using different yarn than suggested in the pattern).

BUILD YOUR AMI (Choose your…)

Ami Size

Small ami (less than 8 inches tall/long).

Big ami (8 - 12 inches tall/long).

** Minimal finishing details in separate colors (e.g. 6 inches of black yarn for mouth embroidery) will not count as an additional color.

Yarn Size

Size 4 yarn (small)

  • Milk cotton or acrylic
  • Cold hand wash/gentle machine wash
  • Do not soak

Size 6 yarn (big)

  • Microfiber
  • Dry clean/cold hand wash
  • Do not soak


Yarn Colors

2 colors or less = no extra charge

3 - 4+ colors = RM5 - RM10 extra charge

Additionals (optional)

  • Bead doll eyes/buttons/felt instead of crocheted eyes (dependent on project).
  • Pipe cleaners in certain limbs to make them hold bendable poses (dependent on project).
  • Jump ring + ball chain (small projects).
  • Reinforced stitching + no glue (for toddlers).

Duration -- How long will my commission(s) take to make?

How long it takes to complete a commission depends on its complexity.

Below is a general duration guide:

(Few color changes, yarn used isn’t strenuous on hands, minimal parts to make & sew, 12 hrs or less work time)

(More than 2 color changes, yarn is harder on hands, many parts to make & sew, pattern isn’t clear/confusing, 24+ hrs work time)

6 - 8 weeks

Please note, various factors can also affect the duration of completion:

  • Supplies being out of stock.
  • Revisions.
  • Personal emergencies, etc.


Revisions

  • I will be providing 1 free revision per ami during the ‘additional details’ stage.
  • Provided they are feasible, further revisions can be requested BUT will incur additional cost (dependent on difficulty/time taken).
  • I reserve the right to refuse any revision requests I deem infeasible.

Prices

Definitive prices CANNOT be provided unless the ami has been done before.

Supplies + Hourly Rate (RM5) + Business Expenses x 1.75 (retail markup) = Finalized Price

  • Please note, finalized prices will very likely differ from the chart depending on multiple factors (e.g. work hours involved, additional details, etc.).
  • Estimate prices in the chart are INCLUSIVE of deposit.

Deposit

Payment

  • I require a minimum deposit before commencing any commission requests.
  • If a pattern is to be purchased, its cost will be added to the minimum deposit amount I require.
  • Minimum deposit amounts will differ based on chosen yarn size:
    • RM20 for small/simple ami.
    • RM60 for big/complex ami.
  • Commissions will ONLY commence once I have confirmed receipt of the deposit.


  • Payment can be done through:
    • Paypal
    • Stripe
    • **Alternative payment method may be provided if I know you in person.
  • Remaining payment must be received in full before your commission(s) can be shipped/collected.

CANCELLATION & REFUNDS

  • Commissions can ONLY be canceled by clients if it is still in the ‘To Do’ list on Trello. NO REFUNDS will be given after this point (once it has been moved to the ‘In Progress’ list).
  • In the event of a commission cancellation request, the deposit will be refunded within 5 business days.
  • In the event I am unable to complete a commission, the deposit will be refunded within 5 business days.
  • If a pattern was purchased, its cost will not be refunded upon cancellation (you will ONLY be refunded the deposit amount that applies to your yarn of choice).

Self-Collection

  • Self-collection is provided if you are nearby and is completely free (duh).
  • Kindly collect your ami within 30 days (1 month) of being notified you may do so.

Shipping

  • Domestic shipping will incur an additional RM7 - RM15 charge depending on location/distance.
  • It may take an additional 2 - 3 business days for me to ship a commission once it is done. Please note, time taken for the courier service to deliver your commission(s) to you is out of my hands.
